HUGHES HAILS MAGICAL MORTEN 
WHILST admitting that his side was far from its best, Rovers boss Mark Hughes was delighted to collect all three points in a tough Ewood Park encounter against Sheffield United.

Rovers have had a lot of travelling to do in recent weeks with their four consecutive away games and it showed as they looked surprisingly off-colour against a hard-working Sheffield United side.

Morten Gamst Pedersen's sensational free-kick deep into injury time secured the points for Rovers, with his manager Hughes full of praise.

"We always feel that if we get Morten in that position on the football field then he has the ability to convert chances like that," said Hughes on Radio Rovers after the game.

"I've seen Morten do that time and time again in training, and once he gets in range it is very difficult to stop.

"It was a great strike, we've won the game, we haven't played particularly well but that is credit to Sheffield United because they worked extremely hard.

"All-in-all we are very pleased. We've had a lot of positives, we've won the game, Chris Samba has come in and done well, Stephen Warnock had a good debut albeit we are disappointed that he's got two bookings. David Dunn returning, Jason Roberts back from injury, so a lot of positives on the day.

"We are delighted with the three points because it isn't very often that we don't play to our best and win games so we'll take this one."

看到他穿克本的傳統藍白球衣，心裡還是有點感慨
不過，他表現得很好！
可惜就是拿了兩張黃牌下場了:p

妙的是，Berner也曾經隨同Basel到Ewood踢過比賽
所以他不能替玫瑰踢聯盟盃了
反正是個經驗豐富的即戰力囉

BERNER BECOMES A ROVER 
BLACKBURN Rovers have completed their fourth signing of the January transfer window with the capture of Swiss international left back Bruno Berner from FC Basel.

The 29 year-old defender has swapped the blue and red halves of FC Basel for the blue and white halves of Rovers in signing an 18 month deal with the Ewood Park club for a small transfer fee, with the club having an option of a further one year.

After spending a week on trial with Rovers, manager Mark Hughes was suitably impressed to make a move for the experienced defender.

Zurich born Berner started his professional career with Grasshoppers Zurich enjoying a five year spell before securing a move to German side SC Freiburg. Berner spent three seasons with the Bundesliga club, but when Freiburg were relegated at the end of the 04/05 season he moved back to Switzerland and to Grasshopper's bitter rivals FC Basel.

Having already featured in the UEFA Cup this season for FCB, Berner is ineligible to play for Rovers in this year's competition.

But he has tasted a match-night atmosphere at Ewood Park as he was an unused substitute when the two sides met in the 3-0 win over Basel at Ewood Park at the beginning of November.

A former team-mate of Stephane Henchoz at international level, the left back has sixteen international caps to his name.

玫瑰隊上其實數數，國腳還真不少
除了P仔代表挪威以外
圖加伊在暌違3年多後竟然又被召入土耳其國家隊
（但他明明已經宣布退役，這點讓休斯很不爽）
然後是喬治亞，應該也有入選（喬治亞剛好要跟土耳其踢友誼賽）
班特利小子也要踢英格蘭U-21（對陣西班牙）
.....
