Do you like pressuring from the wing or do you prefer to leave that space for your teammates?
When I move into attack it’s to assist in plays, but my best attribute is my defending. Playing along the wing means I have to help my teammates, but defending and keeping the team calm are what matter the most. The defence has to bring balance and tranquility to the playmakers in order for them to play their football. They need to feel secure if they lose the ball, and that’s where we come in.
What message do you have for Real Madrid fans?
First, I would like to thank the fans for coming to my and Robben's presentation. Sometimes people forget that footballers have hearts, but we are humans and we all have feelings. We may have a good or bad match, but we have the same feelings as normal people. The presentation was beautiful. I would tell the fans to have faith in this group. The season is long and every team has problems, but they should have faith because there are great people here who want to work hard and make progress. I cannot promise anything other than hard work and trying to make this Real Madrid even greater. We can only win together. The result is a circumstance of football, but if the fans see that we are giving everything for this shirt, I think they will give us their full-fledged support.
